For Companies :

Proof of Existence
  • Memorandum of Association ( MOA ) &
  • Articles of Association (AOA ) &
  • Certificate of Incorporation &
  • Board Resolution (BR) - duly signed &
  • PAN Card in the name of the company
(Any documents as mentioned above (except BR) containing address will be acceptable as address proof also)

Proof of Address (any one)

  • Telephone bill (landline/mobile)/ Electricity bill of public and approved private operators/Water Bill issued by Municipality - (not more than 3 months old)
  • Sales Tax/Service Tax/Excise/VAT registration certificate in the name of the company
  • Property ownership deed (Title Deed) in company’s name duly stamped and registered
  • Property tax paid receipt/bill raised in the name of the company
  • One month account statement from existing bank account maintained with a Scheduled Commercial bank in the name of the firm (not more than 3 months old)
  • Registered and stamped Lease / Leave / Rent agreement in the name of the firm
  • Form 18 / INC-22 along with ROC challan and SVR format to be filled of address
  • Downloaded copy taken from MCA site mentioning address (provided same is matching with address mentioned in AOF)
  • Latest available acknowledged copy of Income Tax / Sales tax / Excise Tax / Service Tax Return/Assessment order - along with print out from PAN website confirming the PAN number & name of entity – Print out to be duly signed by Relationship Manager / Branch Manager as acceptable address proof.

Note: IEC certificate is mandatory for clients opting for EEFC account

For Proprietorship:

Acceptable KYC Documents for Proof of Existence for Sole Proprietorship (any two)

  • Certificate of registration under any Statute /Act or Professional bodies
  • Certificate/license issued by the Municipal authorities under Shop & Establishment Act. Downloaded copy of 'Certificate/license issued by the Municipal authorities under Shop & Establishment Act' will not be accepted.
  • Sales and income tax returns, CST / VAT certificate, certificate / registration document issued by Sales Tax / Service Tax / Professional Tax authorities.
  • Any registration/ licensing document issued by Central Govt. or State Govt. authority/ department such as weight and measurement certificate etc.
  • Latest available acknowledged copy of Income Tax / Sales tax / Excise Tax / Service Tax Return/Assessment order (not more than 1 year old). The complete Income Tax Return (not just the acknowledgement) in the name of the sole proprietor where the firm's income is reflected, duly authenticated / acknowledged by the Income Tax authorities / Sales tax Authorities / Excise Tax Authorities / Service tax authorities is required
  • Utility bills such as electricity, water, and telephone bills (landline and mobile) in the name of the Sole proprietary concern not more than 2 months old.
  • Import / Export certificate in the name of the firm / IEC (Importer Exporter Code) issued to the proprietary concern by the office of DGFT
  • License issued by Registering authority like Certificate of Practice issued by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)/Institute of Cost Accountants of India/Institute of Company Secretaries of India/Indian Medical Council/Food & Drug Control Authorities, etc.
  • Valid SEBI Registration Certificate (wherever applicable)
  • Local Sales Tax/Central Sales Tax/VAT Certificate
  • Certificate/registration document issued by Sales Tax/Service Tax/Professional Tax authorities.
  • Gram Panchayat Certificate (on its letter head) that is less than 6 months old for rural branches and select semi-urban branches. Please give a link to Rural & Semi-Urban Branches which will directly take client to list of such Branches.
Note: Any document in the name of the proprietorship firm, as mentioned in point a-k as entity proof containing address, can be accepted as an address proof

Proof of Address of the proprietorship concern (if not covered in above documents); any one of -

  • Telephone bill (landline/mobile)/ Electricity bill of public and approved private operators /Water Bill issued by Municipality - (not more than 2months old) – in the name of the firm
  • Property tax paid receipt / bill raised in the name of the firm
  • Monthly statement from a Scheduled commercial Bank not more than 3 months old with one customer initiated transaction.
  • Professional tax receipts (of latest tax paid receipt, preferably not more than 3 months old) will be acceptable address proof, if the address details matches with AOF.
  • TAN allotment letter in the name of the firm along-with the SVR format.
